In the heart of the Old Harbour, with Walker Bay across the road and the whole town on foot.
I live in Hermanus, and I've been coming to this coast for sixty years.
Harbour House sits in the oldest part of town, above the Old Harbour where the fishing boats once came in. From here you can walk to the cliff path, the harbour, the shops and the restaurants, and in season the whales come close enough to watch over afternoon tea.

The heart of the hotel is the Manor House, with its slate roof, its lawn, and an infinity pool looking straight out over Walker Bay. Beside it is the modern New Wing, and across the road is Harbour Square, with its own rooftop pool.

Selkirk's, in the restored Manor House, serves breakfast and lunch from local produce, with drinks until eight. Every afternoon from three until five there is complimentary tea and scones on the Lookout Terrace, the best seat in the house for whale watching.
Dinner is in town, a short walk away, where Hermanus has a good choice of restaurants.
